Sculptra

If you want to appear more youthful-looking — without appearing like you’ve had work done — then chances are Sculptra may be a good choice for you.

What is Sculptra?

Sculptra is an FDA-approved injectable that helps gradually replace lost collagen - the most common protein in the body that is used to form a framework to support cells and tissue - for results that can last up to two years.
Sculptra is not a filler - it is a biostimulator. It is a key treatment to regenerate collagen. The results are gradual and appear natural.

Why Sculptra?

SCULPTRA ADDRESSES AN UNDERLYING CAUSE OF FACIAL AGING, NOT JUST THE SYMPTOMS

Not All Anti-Aging Treatments Are the Same:

Collagen creams: Collagen creams do not fully penetrate to the dermis, so most topical treatments are effective as moisturizers that briefly improve the skin's appearance.

Collagen Supplements: When ingested, the digestive system breaks down collagen proteins and their effectiveness remains inconclusive.

Toxins: Toxins temporarily weaken muscles to minimize frown lines in the forehead. Results typically last a couple months.

Fillers: Works immediately upon injection to fill in lines, wrinkles and folds.

Sculptra regenerates collagen restoring your skin's strength and glow. It also acts to restructure the face as bone structure deteriorates with age. Sculptra rebuilds the foundation of the face to make any other aesthetic treatments work better and last longer.

What is the Sculptra protocol?

Sculptra requires some planning and sometimes a pre-treatment protocol.

Most often, Sculptra is administered over 3 sessions scheduled 4 weeks apart. Results from Sculptra are gradual and are at their fullest by 6 months after the first treatment.

We recommend a collagen supporting skin care regimen as well as collagen supplementation to provide the building blocks for the new collagen we stimulate.

Post treatment, massaging Sculptra is a must. Your provider will show you how and where to massage to achieve the most beautiful natural looking results.

Results from Sculptra can last up to 24 months. We recommend a boost at the 1 year mark and continued maintenance just like any other aesthetic procedure.

Common Concerns

"I don't want to look fake or over-done. I see celebrities on TV who look very unnatural."

We agree! First, we aim for rejuvenation and restoration, not to create something you never had. Restoring volume that you lost will make you look refreshed and turn back the hands of time. Sculptra is the hidden secret to keep you looking your best.

When the Sculptra wears off, will my skin be saggy or stretched out?

We use Sculptra to replace volume you've lost due to natural aging. When the Scluptra is fully metabolized, your skin will return to it's original shape. For most patients, this takes up to 24 months - a long time in respect to other aesthetic treatments.

Will I bruise?

With any injection, there is a risk of bruising. Sculptra is placed in a variety of areas, some of which have a higher chance of bruising.  In fact, we recommend that you PLAN for bruising if we treat these areas. Bruises can last 5 - 14 days. Wearing cover up and/or lipstick can camouflage a bruise.

Sculptra treatments should be done 14 days in advance of any important event to give plenty of time for recovery.

Swelling will also occur with injections and is most significant during the first 48 hours post injection.
